Eating and Sleeping Special Interest Group
This SIG has three aims: 1. to improve communication between researchers in different fields (eating and sleep disorders) to find out a common pathway for a better understanding of dysfunctional beliefs and core symptoms of patients eating at night; 2. to find a common definition for diagnostic criteria of night eating syndrome which hopefully might be adopted as a standard by all researchers and clinicians, and 3. to examine common core psychopathological characteristics among night eaters. These aims would serve to inform the development of effective treatment options for those who suffer with night eating.
