AED Supports Mental Health Coverage
The Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) supports legislation that is currently being considered in the United States which would expand access to care through Medicare Part B, amending title XVII of the Social Security Act (Medicare) to provide for the reimbursement of services provided by Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists.
The AED is committed to providing eating disorders education and resources to the mental health community. We look forward to supporting the critical expansion of treatment and services this bill will afford, increasing the availability of best treatment practice to patients and families.
