Negotiated rate is $189 CAD per night for single or double occupancy. A limited number of rooms are available at the rate of $189 CAD. Room and rates are based on availability and subject to state and local fees/taxes (which are currently 19 percent). These rates will be available to attendees, based on availability, from Friday, April 26, through Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Reservations must be made no later than Friday, March 29, 2013. After this date, discounted rates may not apply.

A credit card guarantee is required to hold your reservation. The hotel will charge the equivalent of one night's room and tax if cancellation notice is not provided to the hotel 48 hours prior to the day of arrival. Hotel check-in is 4 p.m.; checkout is noon.

Air Travel Information

Airline reservations may be made through FCm Travel Solutions, the preferred agency for AED meetings. When you call, ask for the group department and identify yourself as an AED 2013 ICED participant. FCm Travel Solutions charges a processing fee on transactions.

Car Rental

Avis is the official car rental service for the 2013 ICED. Avis agents can provide the best available rates for your transportation needs during your stay. Rentals may occur at Montreal, Quebec, locations. An advance reservation is recommended. Make a reservation online or call +1-800-331-1600 and mention AED's Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number J906598 to receive special pricing.

Airport Transportation

The Hilton Montreal Bonaventure and Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain are approximately 30 minutes by car from the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (PET). Taxi fare is a flat rate of $40 CAD (subject to change).

STM 747 Express provides shuttle transfers from the airport to Montreal downtown hotels. The drop-off is one block away from both hotels. Cost is $8 CAD per person, with unlimited usage for 24 hours. STM 747 Express offers various other options, like three-day unlimited ride tickets. Prior reservations are not required. Upon arrival, you may inquire at the STM information counter located in the international arrival area or ask one of the STM representatives near the bus stop outside the airport.

Passport

All persons entering Canada are required to provide proof of identity and proof of citizenship; a valid U.S. passport satisfies this requirement for persons traveling from the United States. U.S. citizens traveling to Canada are required to have a passport to return to the U.S. More information can be found at the U.S. Department of State website. Attendees traveling to Canada from other countries should check their governments' requirements for international travel.

Attire and Climate

Montreal's average high in May is 66 degrees (F), 19 degrees (C), with an average low of 45 degrees (F), 7 degrees (C). Attire for the conference is business casual. Because people have varying sensitivities to temperatures in hotel meeting rooms, bring a sweater or other warm clothing to wear inside the hotel.
