    The Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) is now accepting proposals from qualified researchers to investigate the efficacy of the medical guide entitled, Eating Disorders: Critical Points for Early Recognition and Medical Risk Management in the Care of Individuals with Eating Disorders (hereafter referred to as the Guide). The Guide was developed by the AED Medical Care Standards Taskforce.  View RFP.

Now, however, a taskforce studying how to categorize eating disorders for the new version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, due out in 2013, is considering recognizing for the first time a disorder to be called "selective eating" that could apply to adults as well as children.
