    Clinical Postdoctoral Fellowship in Eating Disorders- Columbus, Ohio

     

    Eating and Behavioral Health Associates, a premier group private practice dedicated to providing evidence-based eating disorder treatment for children, adolescents and adults in Columbus, Ohio, is accepting applications for a post-doctoral fellowship starting in Fall 2021.  Ideal candidates will have an interest in strengthening their clinical skills in evidence-based eating disorder treatment for all eating disorder diagnoses, including ARFID. 

     

    Training will focus on building competence in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E) and Family Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders.  Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for Eating Disorders and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for co-morbid PTSD is additionally offered for interested applicants.

     

    A postdoctoral fellowship at Eating and Behavioral Health Associates will provide the following:

    • A warm, supportive team of mental health professionals who are highly trained and dedicated to evidence-based eating disorder treatment and passionate about training the next generation of evidence-based providers
    • Training for competence in CBT-E and FBT in all eating disorder presentations, including ARFID
    • Clinical opportunities for individual, group and family based treatments
    • High quality supervision in CBT-E and FBT and comorbid disorders
    • Opportunities to provide public health education to the Central Ohio community and community medical providers
    • Weekly didactic trainings in evidence-based treatment, diversity considerations, research, and practice in eating disorders, as well as professional development
    • A serene private practice setting in Columbus, Ohio. Columbus is a rapidly growing city with many neighborhoods and metro parks, one of the largest Universities in the US, and a variety of local restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues.

    The ideal candidate must have a PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology completed by the start of the fellowship. Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in any diagnostic domain is required.  Preferred applicants will have previous experience with eating disorder treatment, and a willingness and passion to learn and develop mastery in evidence-based treatments for eating disorders.  A 2-year commitment is preferred in order to obtain competence in both CBT-E and FBT.  The successful applicant will also need to meet training and credentialing requirements necessary to practice clinically under the supervision of a Ph.D. in Ohio.
