The Midwest Regional Post-Doctoral Training Program in Eating Disorders Research is currently inviting applications for postdoctoral fellowships to begin in summer 2025. This NIMH-funded (T32 MH082761) postdoctoral fellowship is located at three sites: University of Chicago (Chicago, IL), University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN), and the Center for Biobehavioral Research (Sanford Research; Fargo, ND). This multisite program provides a unique opportunity for postdoctoral fellows to receive mentorship from scientists with a broad range of interests relevant to eating disorders research (e.g., computational neuroscience, neurobiology, clinical trials/treatment outcome, ecological momentary assessment, longitudinal data analyses, social determinants of health, digital tools, epidemiology, prevention). Although fellows select a specific site and work closely with the faculty at that site, they also receive mentorship and training from faculty across sites. Individuals with any type of doctoral degree (e.g., MD, PhD) from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Applicants are requested to submit the following materials to the Site Director at locations of interest:
- A letter of intent that includes a statement of interests
- Curriculum vitae
- Reprints of three scientific publications
- Three letters of reference
Site Directors:
· Minneapolis, Minnesota: Carol Peterson, PhD, peter161@umn.edu
· Chicago, Illinois: Jen Wildes, PhD, jwildes@uchicago.edu
· Fargo, North Dakota: Lauren Schaefer, PhD, lauren.schaefer@sanfordhealth.org
The application deadline is November 1, 2024, but applications will be reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis.
