ARFID is defined as “an eating disturbance”, specifically one that inhibits an individual's ability to meet their nutritional needs. Despite similar health outcomes, such as significant weight loss, nutrient deficiencies, interference with psychosocial function, etc., ARFID can present itself in a multitude of ways. This presentation will discuss a variety of ARFID presentations treated at the inpatient level, as well as unique treatment considerations for each. We will also discuss changes being made to UIHC’s eating disorder program to better meet the care challenges of this population.
