At times, patients with ARFID will have medical, nutritional and/or psychological concerns that require treatment at higher levels of care. This presentation will highlight unique considerations in treatment of ARFID, and how treatment may differ from the treatment of other eating disorders. Medical, nutritional, and psychological concerns will be explored as well as co-morbid psychiatric diagnoses. Evidence-based treatment, including specific coaching methodologies and food discovery, will be reviewed.
