The diagnosis of “atypical” anorexia nervosa was added to the “other specified feeding and eating disorder” (OSFED) category in DSM-5 to classify eating disorder presentations wherein all of the criteria for anorexia nervosa are met, except that despite significant weight loss, the individual’s weight is within or above the normal range.” This webinar will focus on clinical features, course, and treatment outcomes of “atypical” anorexia nervosa. It will also include a discussion of current challenges in the field, including diagnostic definitions and terminology, as well as areas for future study.
