Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Early Intervention

About

The purpose of the Early Intervention SIG is to unite AED members interested in early intervention for eating disorders. Early intervention is consistent with a staging model of illness and is well established in other areas of psychiatry and psychology (e.g., for psychosis). There is growing evidence for the benefits of early intervention for child, adolescent and adult eating disorders. The Early Intervention SIG aims to bring together clinicians, researchers and members of the community.
