This study is being conducted by researchers at the University of Kansas and Children's Mercy – Kansas City.

The purpose of this study is to develop and test a new mobile phone app that is designed to help improve treatment outcomes for teens with anorexia nervosa who are currently in treatment and their parents. You will be asked to attend a group session via Zoom. You will be asked to view intervention content, answer interactive multiple-choice quiz questions, complete written prompts, and answer assessment questions. Participation in the research study is expected to take no longer than 2 hours.

To participate, your child must: age 13-18, read and speak fluent English, be medically stable, be currently seeking or previously attended treatment for anorexia nervosa; not be diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability, current psychotic disorder, uncorrected visual impairment, or a medical condition that affects appetite or weight. Parents or guardians will also be asked to participate.
