2019-2020:
- Presided over the highly successful first AED Virtual International Conference on Eating Disorders, held during the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing highest attendance and largest number of countries represented at any ICED
- Deepened AED’s ties with professional networks in the Middle East and Asia, laying the groundwork for a new national professional association in India and collaborations with colleagues with multiple countries in both regions
- Established ex-officio seats on AED Board of Directors for co-chairs of the Partners, Chapters, and Affiliates Committee
- Mentored the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee to the Board to spearhead efforts to expand and deepen AED’s equity and social justice initiatives throughout the organization
- Created the AED Climate Change Task Force to inform ways AED can become a more responsible steward of the environment
- Secured funding for and directed work of Deloitte Access Economics to generate the most comprehensive study yet produced of the social and economic impact of eating disorders in the United States
- Expanded AED’s educational resources for the public and specialists, including AED’s guides Nine Truths About Eating Disorders: Weight and Weight Stigma
