Hello everyone! We are researchers at Northeastern University who are recruiting participants for a study examining how social media users' exposure to and engagement with public figures (influencers, celebrities) who openly discuss or are perceived to be taking GLP-1 receptor agonists (e.g., Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound) relates to their body image and eating behaviors.

While prior research suggests anti-fat bias is associated with greater interest in GLP-1 RAs, little is known about how following and engaging with public figures who discuss these medications relates to followers' own body image and eating. This mixed-methods study aims to address that gap by examining differences in level of exposure to and engagement with such public figures in relation to body image and disordered eating, along with participants' lived experiences of this exposure.

    Participation involves:

    1. A 25-minute anonymous online survey
    2. Optional paid follow-up interview ($15)
    3. Entry into a raffle for a $75 Amazon gift card

Eligibility: Women aged 18–35 who use social media
