    Hello Trusted Colleagues,
My name is Erica Faulhaber, I am a current PhD candidate conducting a qualitative study on "Treating Eating Disorders in Women Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse – A Narrative Investigation". This post is to ask for support as fellow providers in the counseling field with the participant selection phase of my research by considering if any of your clients may be eligible to participate in my study.  I am asking for your willingness to pass along the research study's information to select patients who may be eligible.

Given the vast nature of this research while also desiring to capture the richness of participants' voices, the findings would be best supported by a smaller sample size given the specific criterion.  The rich demographics served in your practices, would help gather data from various backgrounds, offering more comprehensive representation in the literature.

    Participant Criterion:
•Female patient currently engaged in psychotherapy.
    •18 years or older.
•Can affirm being an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse (CSA).
•Have a clinically diagnosed eating disorder (ED).
•Reside within the United States of America.
•Have engaged in therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing [EMDR] or Radically-Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy [RO-DBT] or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
    [ACT]).

If you know of individuals who would like to participate, please direct eligible participants to complete an informed consent through the Google Forms link:

    https://forms.gle/UKEgqsMTReCiVkfX7

Once informed consent is received, a short pre-screening demographics questionnaire for study participants (including creating a pseudonym) is to be completed before receiving an email for scheduling the interview. If clients are eligible to participate, there will be a semi-structured interview process via a recorded Zoom video conference. This interview will take approximately 60-90 minutes, including feedback via email for credibility and dependability.  Participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card by email once the interview is complete.

I would greatly appreciate your help with this research.  If you have further questions about what the study would entail and how to help clients start the process of recruitment, please feel free to contact me.  Thank you for your willingness to share with clients and patients who may be interested in participation.
