Fernando Fernandez-Aranda, PhD, FAED, Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the University of Barcelona, Scientific Director of IDIBELL, Director of the Eating Disorders Unit at the Dept. of Psychiatry (Bellvitge University Hospital/IDIBELL) and Head of CIBERobn Group (Spanish Research Network for Obesity and Nutrition/ http://www.ciberobn.es/en). Editor-in-Chief of the European Eating Disorders Review since 2011, one of the top Journals in the ED field. Board member of the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) until 2007, past President of the Latin American Hispanic Chapter of the AED, co-chair of Eating Disorders Section of the World Psychiatric Association since 2018, and recipient of several international awards (e.g. AED Meehan Hartley Award, AED leadership Research Award, Hilde Bruch Lecture Award). Past-President of the EDRS.
