About

The Males & Eating Disorders SIG is a diverse group of researchers, clinicians, and trainees dedicated to improving our understanding of eating disorders in males in order to enhance prevention and treatment with this frequently under-recognized population.

Goals

• To advocate for this population within the AED membership and the public at large
• To increase the capacity among clinicians to successfully evaluate and treat this often overlooked and underserved population
• To increase research on males to improve our understanding of the nature, prevalence, etiology, and treatment of eating pathology in this population
